Pro Tips
- Cut the caulk tube tip at a 45-degree angle to a small opening (about 1/8"). Smaller openings give more control -- you can always cut more off, but you cannot make it smaller.
- Tool the bead immediately after application with a damp finger or caulk tool. A smooth, concave bead is the mark of professional trim work.
- Caulk before painting, not after. Caulk only the top and side edges of baseboard (where it meets the wall). Do not caulk the bottom edge -- the floor gap allows the wood to move.
